Announcements: We expect a proposal from Weyland to present the annual Power to Peaceful event live from 13:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, 9 September. Tom Mazzolini will begin his program an hour early to cover for the vacationing host of the Johnny Otis show on 9 and 16 September. KPFA will collect audio from a special event marking the Chicano Moratorium on 27 August, to assemble a program for broadcast from 19:00 - 22:00 on Tuesday, 29 August in La Raza Chronicles and Musical Colors slots. To free time to deliberate proposals, a presentation from Hard Knock about Arbitrons planned for 22 August will probably be postponed until the second week of September. Someone mentioned a imminent one-time special from National, but could provide no further information. Ongoing programming: Alfredo may be willing to withdraw his Animal Rights Radio proposal if it is possible to arrange for regular participation on the already-approved Watch Dog. Theresa withdrew her proposal for an alternative medicine program. The issue of irregular host attendance for Life from Aztlan arose; particular information will be delivered to the Music Director.
